Inside Kensington Palace, the Duke of Kent \u2014 Prince Edward, her husband of more than sixty years \u2014 was described in the official Palace statement as “grieving profoundly.” That phrase, palace-crafted and careful, nonetheless landed with weight. Sixty years. A partnership built on shared values, mutual respect, and the kind of love that doesn’t photograph well because it lives in the ordinary moments: morning light, a shared meal, a hand offered without being asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
